Pueblo West Metropolitan District Pueblo West Metropolitan District’s vision is to become a unique, residential yet rural, financially stable and self-sustaining, economically diverse community. Pueblo West’s primary water source comes from the shares of Twin Lakes water owned by Pueblo West. It is released from Twin Lakes on a demand basis, and flows down the Arkansas River to the Pueblo Reservoir. Pueblo West also owns shares of Colorado Canal water, shares of other supplemental water rights, 18 water wells and has recently acquired the water rights from the Hill Ranch in Chaffee County. Pueblo West Metropolitan District is a potential
beneficiary of the SDS project. They will provide
facts and information needed to support the NEPA
process as requested by Reclamation. |
